Reading Dogs - Time and Dates to be announced
Dogs have proven to be accepting and non-critical listeners and only ask for attention and love in return. We are very excited to offer this program for "reluctant readers" in grades 1 & up. Certified dogs, along with their handlers, will be available for children to read to.
The dogs listen patiently while the children develop a confidence in reading aloud. It has proven to be
extremely successful in area libraries.
Registration is required for this program. Please
contact the library as soon as possible if you are
interested so that we can arrange for the required number of dogs to visit.
Teen Reading Volunteers
Members of the Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will be available to help your child to practice reading.
If you are interested in this service, please contact the library and we will make arrangements between a TAB member and your child.
